James Bay Frontier Division Council

Organization promoting opportunities for girls and women to be challenged through new experiences and to gain leadership skills, become self-reliant, enjoy friendships with other women and girls, and develop a sense of well-being and self-worth. Applicants need not have been in Guiding before and can join at any age.

Chapleau's chapter includes five (5) units, being:

Sparks (ages 5 & 6 or Kindergarten & Grade 1)
Brownies (ages 7 & 8 or Grades 2 & 3)
Guides (ages 9-12 or Grades 4-6)
Pathfinders (ages 12-15 or Grades 7-9)
Rangers (ages 15-17+ or Grades 10-13)

Please note that before being accepted to Guiding, our leaders are required to go through an extensive screening process which includes, Application form, Interview, Reference check and Police Record check, and acceptance is not automatic. Parent volunteers and resource people are also an important part of our organization.
